What is the Firewagon?

The Firefighters Firewagon Chuckwagon Association is a symbol of volunteer and community spirit. This is our 13th year helping educate the public in fire safety and letting you know what Firefighters do on and off duty as volunteers in this great city. WE (yes you and us) do all this while promoting the great, historic family sport of chuckwagon racing and the world famous Calgary Stampede. This is a non-profit organization and all the proceeds, after costs, go directly to the Kids Cancer Care Foundation and a number of other important charities and non-profit organizations. We are actively recruiting for new members so please share our information when you can. The Firewagon 2008 Chuckwagon Driver is Grant Preece including the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede Rangeland Derby. The Firewagon was the winning bidder at $56,000. We're stoked to have Grant driving this year, getting to know the Firewagon Family. YeeHaw, let's welcome Grant aboard and cheer our Firewagon on!

With the support of all members of the Firewagon, the Firewagon donated over $200,000.00 to charities; we ask all members to spread this information and opportunity to other companies or individuals to keep the spirit alive.
